A Testimonial

Where is my destination
If not in your arms
Where is my heart
if not in my homeland
thinking I keep waiting
for the final moment
when I’ll be there
reaching my hearth
putting an end to the
long wait.

The countdown
is yet to begin
can’t help but
wait the process is so.

Restless I get
as the long day
passes by.
Waiting for the escalations
 to wear down and finally
head to home to meet
the near and dear ones.

Now, I know what it is to part
from the homeland.
Nothing terrible
can happen than saying
goodbye to the dear ones.

But the future is near
and so is the day
I meet them again.
Here putting an end
to the testimonial
I hope to see them soon.

Mirage

The mirage of future
hails from today
the sweet memory
of yester years
enlightened with fun
and frolic.

Oh! This is what I
have been waiting
for, from the mirage
of memories of past
into the present and
then future
fading away the reality.

The day will come
putting an end to all
the questions unanswered;
decolorizing the mirage
of future, past and present
and communion with the priced happiness.

The first encounter

Painting a picture of yours
I remember the first time we met
It was like budding of flowers
Birds settling down in their nest
First rain drops on earth

It was like a complete picture
You and me; me and you that’s
The way it was meant to be
a shear luck to
have each other together

Every word starts with you
And ends with you
Me and you; you and me
That’s the way
It was meant to be

Time it was for new beginnings
And new endings
Still it is
as we go through more
and more in life

You and me; me and you
That’s the way it is meant to be.

Amazon's Kindle Fire

Are you thinking of watching a movie on weekend or catching up with your favorite TV show? If yes, then Kindle Fire is the right choice. This Amazon tablet is very appealing as goes for its HD screen giving a tough competition to the Apple’s iPad.

Buying HD over a regular one would be a wise decision although it costs $40 more than the usual model. The HD models unveiled this Thursday start at $199 for the small screen Fire models. The Kindle Fire with bigger screen is all set to make a mark in the market sometime in November.

Along the sidelines of the launch of Kindle Fire Amazon has also up graded the regular model which is now much faster than the original which came out last November.

The Kindle Fire is now in close competition with Apple’s iPad with Fire’s larger models having 8.9 inch screen with a high resolution likewise in Apple iPad.

The smaller Kindle Fire has a screen resolution of 1280/800 pixel whereas an Apple iPad has a resolution of 2048/1536. But then you have sharp picture in $199 as compared to $499 for the latest iPad which makes Kindle Fire a must buy.

Amazon has also made changes in design in its HD models. Now the speakers are on both the sides and if it is in a landscape mode like a movie screen one can watch movies in Dolby Digital sound.

The new HD model and the old Kindle Fire have a series of new features that are good but moreover the same. As per the X-Ray feature, if you tap on the screen while a movie is going on it will lead to listing of actors featuring in the scene. For more information one can even access Amazon’s movie information service IMDb.

The X-Ray feature is very popular feature on the Kindle e-reader which has been used in Fire and gives bird’s eye view to the user.

Yet another feature Amazon has offered is the ‘Immersion Reading’ that allows narration from an actor that might be appreciated by the users.

Amazon has also added a feature that controls the time spend by a child on various media. Now one can limit your child as to how much video and games they can access while making them read as much as one likes.

The USP of Kindle Fire by Amazon is the HD screen with sharp image formation which might be of interest to some looking for a reasonable buy.

A Walk to remember

Surrounded with Black forest trees is
A walk to remember
as we go hand in hand
to an unknown destination

Simply voracious it is though
with no end to the trekking
the scenic beauty
keeps us awestruck

The fresh air hits our face
making a whistling sound
the birds chirping in the nest
here we go for a walk to remember

The vineyards busy churning the vine
the black forest cake goes not for a miss
here we hail to the nature's beauty
amidst the beautiful black forest

All in all the beauty of the black forest
makes for a walk to remember
as we go hand in hand among the shaded
green trees of black forest.

Poetry

Tic tac bing bang boom
Poetry is not a rhyming spoof
It is an artiste creation
Doesn’t need any interpretation
Just go with the flow
To tantalize your creative side though

Tic tac bing bang boom
Poetry has no space for a doom
Though it can touch the gloom
In your heart

Tic tac bing bang boom
Poetry is a niche
Poetry is a haiku
Poetry can touch your heart
Make you laugh make you cry
Tic tac bing bang boom

The long wait

Scintillating beautifully marveled
She stands by the pillar
Waiting for someone special
Looking at the delicately
Decorated wrist with a watch
Longing for the special one
As if it’s been too long
Since she met him

Dazzling among the diamonds
Under a street light
Creating sparkle to the night
With only a hint of make-up
Holding on to her clutch bag
With all the glitterati.

Holding on to meet some one special
She stands there with that expression of longing
In her eyes
And it seems time has stopped here for her
While she waits for her only one.

Prelude to our love

Here i am again
with the same
old story
of ours
Yet with a new beginning
of our love story
conditioned to every probability
our love can have.

Here i am with you
with yet another
sombre free, gay and hearty
beginning to our love story
marking a new union of
love and romance
without any prelude or an end.

Dazed with mere imagination
of communion of two lovers.
Here i am with yet another poem
of our love.

Singing to the tunes and dancing to the rhythm
of our love
yes.our very own self -profound love
ignorant of the world beyond
unknown to the limit of the limitless fondness of each other.

Here i am with you amidst our love for each other.

The lost love

Rain has come to the main land
gushing its way to my homeland
swishing and swashing the vegetation
of the green mainland

O dear! i am so full of refreshing memories
of the days gone by; the yester days of
u and me

I turn to the greens of my homeland for ever enthralling
days that i left behind to come again
and energise me

Where we met last time come and serenade me
with the lost love of ours
here i wait amongst the green landscapes of my homeland.

Microsoft shows its best with Windows 8

Microsoft has unveiled the final consumer preview of its long awaited new operating system Windows 8 an extended version of the existing Windows 7 ahead of its October release.

The preview tells what distinguishes the latest version with an all new look of blocky and a bright home page. The new Windows operating system has not only shelled out the traditional old desktop look but also offers an interface primarily for the tablets called metro.

The new Microsoft operating system is all kudos to the developers who have dished out all new features of live applications to the home screen. As per the preview, some of the applications will come in handy for the users which will keep on updating constantly thereby enabling the users to check their latest e-mails. But the end-users who want to have the usual desktop they can still have it.

The new metro is said to have a different feel as it has been developed keeping in mind the touch controls as compared to the usual mouse and keyboard controls. According to some experts it feels really good to see the smooth amalgamation of touch use with the mouse and keyboard.

Windows 8 supports flash which differentiates tablets from an i-pad and also has a feature of ‘do not track’ private setting for the web browsers. The all new feature of ‘do not track’ is a step forward to give consumers a choice in browsing and tracking.

On the whole, it seems from the preview that Microsoft’s Windows 8 is all set to give a tough  competition to Apple and Google in the world of tablets.

Rupee falls to an all time low

Rupee falls tremendously to a record low followed by RBI’s cautious role towards the current market situation market situation. While traders too under play as regards to the current scenario maintained by the market.

Amidst vulnerable situation in the European market and global risk from euro zone  and India’s bad policy implementation and deficit the rupee touched level of 56 as against dollar.

On a yearly average rupee falls greater than 5 percent to dollar making it the worst performing currency in the Asian subcontinent. Since its last high in February rupee has fallen by 13 percent.

However, as per the traders a stop gap arrangement has been made by the RBI by keeping a low profile in selling the dollar.

While central bank has an alternative to sell dollars to the oil importers it is crucial for RBI to intervene in order to save rupee from a steep fall. It is the sixth day when rupee has seen a fall yet again leading RBI to rescue it.

Major damage has been made by the unstoppable demand of dollar by the oil importers and some other companies. Whereas, on the other hand central bank has taken several major steps to stop rupee from a tremendous fall such as raising the rate of deposits for the NRI’s and also asking exporters to convert the currency to rupees. Though, both the measures have failed to make much impact.

Are you my best friend?

A friend in need is a friend indeed; the cliche saying defining a friend needs to be redefined. So, who is your friend or best friend? Let’s give it a reality check that who is just a friend and who is your best friend. Some feel a friend is a friend what’s the need to type cast a friend. But somewhere down the line as year passes by you will see only one or few who continue to be there for you no matter what happens.

Of course, a relative or your parents are there with unconditional love and support. But I am talking about the stranger may be who sat beside you on the very first day of your school and continues to be there beside you unconditionally. Relatives are by birth with you but a friend is by choice. I might have exaggerated defining a best friend but a choicest friend is only one before whom you can unveil yourself to.

Friendship with school mates, college mates, colleagues shapes up with the course of time. Some relations develop with time and makes it one of the best while some fade away with due course of time.

At times it takes a full life cycle to realise who your best mate is. According to me, a best friend is an amalgamation of all the features present in any other relationship.

I feel by the end of this writing that name must have come to your mind of the unique and best friend in your life.

Spring Yearning

Oh my dear,
the spring is here
I stand by the window
Looking for you
As you pass by the meadows.

I hear the wind blowing
Swishing and swashing
the wind chime ringing.

The rainbow colored tulips
Are so refreshing
And when I think of
you and me
Walking hand in hand
Among the tulips
It gives immense pleasure
And joy of the yester year
We have been together.

Oh my dear,
come to me
I stand here waiting for you
As you pass by the meadows.

A DERELICT VILLA

Villa it was!
But now “a derelict one”.
The cobwebs have burnt the fireplace
where once we all had our place to rest.

The taste of a plum-cake,
The stuffiness of the kitchen place.
Vessels all broken and abandoned
To left for the rats to rest on.

Here, is where the soul pants
for the long- long spans of
summers, autumns and springs we had.

The mourning of the running old waterfall
Is all we can hear now; where the chatter- batter
Of the kids used to put the house on alert.

Villa it was, villa it was
What a villa it was!

It seems like a crematorium of
Memories to cherish upon,
The hay days of our life are gone.

Reminiscent of innocence,
Now- a- haunted house,
To taunt our lovely past.

Then came the fiery night,
bombed with an explosion,
robbed off the glory of the villa.

Villa it is, villa it is now,
“a derelict villa”!

Beauty tips for daily care

1. Dry skin is common during a rough weather. If you have dry skin apply fresh aloe vera gel. This will leave your skin soft and supple and relieve the skin from dryness.

2. Always air dry your hair first and then blow dry. Blow drying the wet hair will cause damage so avoid doing so.

3. Avoid using conditioner on your scalp because this will give your scalp a flat look.

4.To have a no smudge look, use a nude eye pencil as close as possible to your lash line and then cover it with an eye liner. But remember to keep your eyes as simple and natural as possible.

5. If your hair are taking too long to grow include high protein food to your diet like eggs, soy products, meat, pulses, seeds and dairy products.

6. To give a natural look to your blush use liquid gel based blush instead of powder blush. The cream based blush gives a warm look instead of that artificial blush.

7. Here is a way out if you want well groomed pair of  eye brows. Just pluck those extras under the ridge and keep them bushy towards the starting of the brows.

8. Make it a practise to use sunscreen and now all the more as summers are approaching.

9.  Roll back to those rollers after gently drying with towel. The Velcro rollers will make the hair less frizzy and help you get those curls and add volume to your stresses.

10. If you are using hair color make sure to give variant shades instead of using the same shade for roots and tips. Using variants will give a natural look to the hair color.
